What an amazing 5 days we had serving in Piedras Negras! We had 41 participants, 32 boys and 9 girls, 33 teens and 8 adults. We are so thankful to Hope Chapel and Austin Chinese American Network for partnering with us. Our main activities included serving in local schools doing a STEM catapult activity, painting the main church building at the ministry center we stayed at (as well as other maintenance projects), and serving at a local Casa Hogar (orphanage) for disabled persons. We also had lots of fun eating a fantastic Chinese dinner by the young chefs of ACAN, listening to amazing musical performances from the trip participants, going out for shopping and dinner in downtown Piedras Negras, and contemplating each evening during our share time and reflection devotionals.
