Spring Break 2025
Rohi is excited to partner again with Austin Chinese American Network (ACAN) and Hope Chapel Youth Group on a trip to Piedras Negras, March 17-21, 2025. We are excited to welcome youth and chaperones on this amazing service trip! This is our third annual trip with ACAN and second annual trip with Hope Chapel. We are in the planning stages, but anticipate a trip similar to the 2024 trip and 2023 trip.
Itinerary Overview
Monday: Leave Austin for Piedras Negras
Tuesday: Service day
Wednesday: Service day
Thursday: Service day
Friday: Return to Austin
We anticipate in the mornings splitting the group into 2 teams: One doing a STEM science activity at a local school and the other doing a construction maintenance project at the ministry center where we are staying.
In the afternoons/evenings, we will be hosting a carnival like event at the ministry center for various groups from Piedras Negras.
The cost is $450. That includes lodging and meals, including on the way to and from Piedras Negras.
There will be a virtual interest meeting on January 26, 2025 at 7:30 PM. Email therohifoundationinc@gmail.com to register for the interest meeting. We will send you the meeting link.
Deadline to register for the trip is Sunday, February 16, 2025. Registrants need to agree to the Trip Agreements via this FORM.
There will be at least one virtual trip planning meeting before the trip. Date TBD.
